Clinical effect of Gaspylor in infants and children with anorexia

Abstract
|
|
|
Anorexia is one of common problems in infants and children. Several types of oretic agents(appetite stimulants) have been introduced up to now. Recently, new type of appetite stimulants(Gaspylor) containing sheep´s gastric mucosal extract has been introduced. At Kangam St. Mary´s Hospital Pediatric department 18 children with loss of appetite were given. Gaspylor on outpatient basis.
The results were summarized as follows:
1) In 12 Out of 18 patients(66. 7%), the Gaspylor was effective and in 6 Patients the results were excellent.
2) In case of good response, appetite was improved in a week of initial administration.
3) In case of no response, appetite was not improved even over 2 weeks administration.
4) No adverse effect was developed in any patient received Gaspylor.
