Clinical effect of Gaspylor in infants and children with anorexia



Abstract
Anorexia is one of common problems in infants and children. Several types of oretic agents(appetite stimulants) have been introduced up to now. Recently, new type of appetite stimulants(Gaspylor) containing sheep¢¥s gastric mucosal extract has been introduced. At Kangam St. Mary¢¥s Hospital Pediatric department 18 children with loss of appetite were given. Gaspylor on outpatient basis.
The results were summarized as follows:
1) In 12 Out of 18 patients(66. 7%), the Gaspylor was effective and in 6 Patients the results were excellent.
2) In case of good response, appetite was improved in a week of initial administration.
3) In case of no response, appetite was not improved even over 2 weeks administration.
4) No adverse effect was developed in any patient received Gaspylor.
